Bill has teamed up with his wife, Sharon, to bring sellers and buyers the best service possible. They provide a unique balance and perspective as they counsel the clients to ensure success for those with real estate needs. His real estate career began in 1977 right here in Marin County at a small office in downtown Mill Valley. These 40 years include 22 years of owning/managing his own office, managing for Frank Howard Allen Realtors and McGuire Marin Real Estate.
To increase awareness of new property coming on the market among his associates, Bill held a monthly networking session called the Buy/Sell. He spearheaded this and facilitated it for over 15 years. Agents throughout Marin are invited to send information about their properties which are downloaded into a Power Point presentation. At the meeting agents have an opportunity to speak about their new listings while the agent audience views it on the screen. "We have had buyers find some significant properties through this effort. The most memorable one was for a sale of $23,000,000 in Tiburon," recalls Bill.
Bill believes in keeping on top of market trends and ongoing changes in real estate. He is a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and has received numerous awards such as: Realtor of the Year - Marin Association of Realtors; Circle of Excellence Award - National Association of Professional Saleswomen; Best Real Estate Agent in Marin - Marin Independent Journal; Distinguished Service Award - Marin Association of Realtors. He has served on and chaired most of the committees at the Marin Association of Realtors (MAR) and has been an officer/director for both the Marin and California Association of Realtors. He was the Association's President in 2010 and currently serves on the Professional Standards Committee for MAR. Over the years, he also served as a Driector on BAREIS, the Multiple Listing Association.
Being community minded, Bill has also served on several non-profit Boards including the Mill Valley Soccer Club, President 1986; College of Marin Advisory Committee, Chair 1986; Marin Community Food Bank, President 1990; and SingersMarin, Secretary 2008.
A third-generation San Franciscan, Bill moved to Marin with Sharon in 1970 where they raised their family. They are now proud and happy to add the role of grand-parenting along with being respected real estate professionals.
Testimonials speak for themselves: "We both have had the experience of buying and selling several houses in our lifetimes. When we met you, this experience and our instincts told us that you were people we could trust and rely upon to do an honest and thorough job in the difficult task of finding a great property - and a great value - in the highly competitive Marin County market. Sharon and Bill, you came through with flying colors! While the processes of house hunting and financial pre-qualification can be angst-ridden, with your guidance it was truly a pleasurable experience! You took care of all the details. "

"As a President and CEO of several companies, I am dependent upon people listening, evaluating and responding to me before I am needed to make a decision. This is exactly what Sharon and Bill did. They met with us to discuss our needs, likes and dislikes and only presented properties after they personally evaluated them. Throughout the entire purchasing and closing of the property, they were prompt and precise with the delivery of the documents needed to close and they were also excellent about responding to all our questions. The only agents we will ever use again for our real estate transactions would be The McKeons. " (Sharon and Bill have assisted in buying and selling homes for this client on 6 different occasions. )
